Mercedes removes S-duct after first practice trial

Mercedes has gone back to its standard nose configuration for the rest of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, after evaluating the impact of an S-duct type concept on Friday morning. The team was the focus of technical intrigue at Interlagos after Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton's cars were fitted with a S-duct style panel ahead of first practice. The raised nose section featured an open vent to channel air, and is understood to be part of an evaluation programme that Mercedes is considering for its 2016 car. The current dominant Mercedes does not feature an S-duct, which teams like Red Bull and McLaren run, but such a device could appear on its challenger next year. The tests on Friday will...
