Vandoorne confirms 2016 reserve role

– GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne has officially confirmed that he will step up to the position of test and reserve driver at McLaren-Honda for the 2016 campaign, replacing the outgoing Kevin Magnussen.Vandoorne wrapped up the 2015 GP2 crown with rounds in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi to spare, the Belgian recording five victories and eight further podium finishes so far this season.Vandoorne will provide back-up to regular drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button in the role, duties carried out by Magnussen – whose contract has not been renewed – this year.Vandoorne hopes to combine the position with a race seat elsewhere."I definitely want to race something next year, but what it...
