Proof Red Bull are sticking with Renault for 2016?
Red Bull has confirmed to run the the upgraded Renault engine in Daniel Ricciardo’s car at the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix. The implications of this may be far more than simply having a stronger power unit. Clearly in introducing the engine this year, Renault are preparing for 2016. This benefits the unannounced Renault 2016 works team tremendously, but would have no benefit to Red Bull if they are presumably looking to change: arguably this in fact detriments Red Bull as they are potentially helping a competitor.
