Haas F1 not in Ferrari ‘junior team' position

Gene Haas says his new Formula 1 team, which is set to debut next season, is not a junior Ferrari outfit. Haas F1 has struck up a technical partnership with the sport's most successful team, including a power unit supply deal. However, its founder says the aim is to beat Ferrari. 'I don't see us in the ‘junior team' team position,' he told the official Formula 1 website. 'If we are out there we want to beat them. We would not back down.
