‘Ultrasoft' Purple Pirelli tyres for 2016; Abu Dhabi test confirmed
Pirelli have had a request for a post-season tyre test granted, and it will be held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Pirelli get the chance to track test their new compound, the ‘Ultrasoft'. The tyre test will be held after the final Grand Prix of the year, a single day of tyre testing between 9am and 9pm local time, on Tuesday 1 December. Taking place two days after the season finale at Yas Marina, the teams will not be allowed to alter or use new parts on the cars and teams ‘have been asked' to only run race or reserve drivers.
