Pirelli gets Abu Dhabi tyre test

Pirelli Media Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed that a 12-hour test will take place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in December. The company, which will remain in Formula 1 until at least the end of 2019, requested the extra running, which has now been approved by the FIA. The presence of Formula 1 teams is voluntary, though each outfit which commits has been asked to run either regular or reserve drivers for the session, which will run from 9am to 9pm on December 1st.
