Dietrich Mateschitz: 'We have cancelled our Renault contract'

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz appears to have poured cold water on suggestions of a reconciliation between his team and the French engine manufacturer. Mateschitz said at the start of October that an engine solution for his Red Bull Racing & Toro Rosso teams would be found by the end of the month, but that deadline has now passed with no solution in sight. Speaking to the Red Bull owned Speedweek.com, Mateschitz explained that the deadline for the decision to participate in F1 in 2016 has been extended by ‘two or three weeks', but says he knows that a competitive engine is not available.
