Honda issues force Button out of Mexico GP qualifying

Jenson Button will miss qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix after McLaren failed to resolve a signal on the Honda power unit. In what has been a torrid weekend for the former champion so far, Button had already been forced to sit out FP1 and much of FP2, before more problems struck to sideline him in FP3 as well. Traced to a signal issue on the engine, McLaren and Honda has been busily attempting to fix it but with minutes to go before qualifying, the team would confirm he won't participate in the session at all. The underlying signal problems on JB's engine have not been resolved. Therefore, he won't take part in quali. Our focus is now on the race. — Honda Racing F1 (@HondaRacingF1)...
