Grid penalties for both McLaren drivers

Mexican Grand Prix – Both McLarens head into Qualifying with a looming grid penalty, following power unit changes for both drivers. Jenson Button started Friday's FP1 session with a new ‘Spec 4' Honda power unit installed in the back of his MP4/30, his 10th engine of the year. Along with that, he received a new Turbo Charger, MGU-H & MGU-K and picked up a 25 place grid penalty in total for the changes. Honda had planned a further power unit install for FP2 and, when Jenson encountered a high voltage failure, McLaren started to carry out the change.
