Hulkenberg frustrated with Austin retirement
Nico Hulkenberg says retiring from the United States Grand Prix after running well within the points was a 'huge frustration'. The German driver started sixth but struggled on the intermediate tyre, losing several places. He had just started to claw back ground when his front wing failed on the back straight as he attempted to overtake Daniel Ricciardo. He collided with the Red Bull and was forced to retire with suspension damage. 'It's a huge frustration to be out of the race when things were looking so promising,' he explained.
