Kvyat felt victory was possible in wet

– Daniil Kvyat believes that he could have claimed his maiden Formula 1 victory in Sunday's United States Grand Prix, had weather conditions remained wet throughout the race.Kvyat challenged Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton for the lead on Intermediates in the early stages, but struggled for pace after switching to slicks, and gradually dropped back.Kvyat's fading challenge ultimately came to an end when he lost control of his Red Bull exiting the penultimate corner, and slammed into the barriers on the inside of the track."The opening laps were mega, it was very enjoyable and it was nice fighting, but then the track dried out," said Kvyat, whose best result is second,...
