Points for Sauber's 400th GP as Nasr finishes ninth
Felipe Nasr was able to mark Sauber's 400th Grand Prix with ninth places and two points in the bag at the Circuit Of The Americas for the USGP in Texas. The Brazilian began his race from 15th on the grid, by the end of the first lap had gained another place and was running in fourteenth. Nasr barely had chance to breath as Sauber brought him into the pits, at the end of lap two, to fit him with slicks whilst everyone else was still running on intermediates. The Swiss team appeared to be making a big gamble, which backfired dramatically as Nasr only ran three laps on the slick tyres before conceding defeat and reverting to intermediate tyres. “It’s been an eventful race.
