Hulkenberg failure caused Ricciardo clash

Nico Hulkenberg has escaped punishment following hs collision with Daniel Ricciardo in the United States Grand Prix after Force India proved he had suffered a mechanical failure into the hairpin. Hulkenberg was attempting to wrest fifth from Ricciardo on lap 36 when he slid wide into him, breaking his suspension and putting him out of the race. Though Ricciardo continued, the clash was placed under investigation by the stewards.
