Rosberg takes US GP pole position after Q3 cancelled
Due to heavy rain at the Circuit of the Americas, pole position for the United States Grand Prix was decided by times from Q2. The final segment of qualifying was delayed, before the FIA decided conditions were too bad to run in. It had already been postponed to Sunday morning after Saturday's torrential rain. Nico Rosberg was quickest in Q2 and took pole positon with a 1:56.824, ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo. The second Red Bull of Daniil Kvyat will line up fourth. Sebastian Vettel was fifth quickest but he has a 10-place engine change penalty, as does Kimi Raikkonen, who was eighth in the second session. Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg ended Q2 sixth and...
