Palmer secures final Lotus F1 2016 seat
Jolyon Palmer has been announced as the Lotus F1 Team's second race driver for the 2016 season. The British driver won the GP2 championship in 2014 with DAMS and was appointed third and reserve driver at Lotus for this year. He has made several first practice and test outings for the Enstone-based outfit. With Romain Grosjean moving to the new Haas F1 outfit, Palmer has now been confirmed as his replacement at Lotus, which is set to become Renault in 2016. 'I’m obviously delighted that I’ll be racing in Formula 1 next year,' he said.
