Second USGP practice session called off

– Friday's second practice session for the United States Grand Prix has been called off by officials, with no sign of the poor weather conditions which have hit the Circuit of the Americas improving sufficiently.Shortly before the planned 14:00 local time session start, FP2 was delayed "indefinitely" by Race Control, as marshals were unable to attend their posts due to the threat of lightning.After lengthy talks between Race Director Charlie Whiting, Deputy Race Director Herbie Blash and Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, the decision was made to abandon the session."P2 is cancelled.
