Renault to make available upgraded engine in Austin

Renault has given Red Bull the option of using its heavily upgraded engine at the United States Grand Prix this weekend. The French manufacturer had yet to dip into its remaining 12 development tokens prior to this upgrade, but has done so ahead of the race in Austin. It hasn't confirmed quite how many of the 12 it has used, but it's believed to be the majority. The decision to use the engine however remains solely Red Bull's choice, though both Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat would face grid penalties as a result of making the change as both have already exhausted their current allocation.
