Jenson Button backs Kevin Magnussen for race seat

Jenson Button has backed his former McLaren-Honda teammate Kevin Magnussen for a race seat in 2016. The pair both held race seats at the Woking based team last year, but McLaren-Honda is currently working from an all-champion line-up of Button alongside Fernando Alonso. It has left Magnussen waiting in the wings as a reserve driver in 2015, and suggested that if he does not return to a race seat next year, he may look outside of F1. 'I am in contact with several interesting teams both inside and outside of Formula One,' he told the Danish tabloid BT.
