Roberto Merhi given grid penalty from P19
Russian Grand Prix – Manor's Roberto Merhi has been given a grid penalty for an engine change in Sochi. Merhi returned to the cockpit of the Manor this weekend after handing the car over to Alexander Rossi for the Singapore & Japanese Grands Prix. Rossi is concentrating on his GP2 championship bid this weekend, meaning Merhi gets his penultimate race of the year in F1 machinery. “I was doing pretty well in qualifying but on the first lap of my second run I went off and flat-spotted my tyres.' said Merhi after finishing just under a tenth behind teammate Will Stevens.
