Sainz uninjured after heavy crash

Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz is uninjured following a nasty accident at the Russian Grand Prix, his father and manager have said. He was taken to hospital in Sochi after smashing into barriers at Turn 13, one of the fastest parts of the track. Sainz's manager Borja Ortiz-Echague said he was 'perfect' and 'unhurt'. Sainz's father, the rally champion of the same name, added: 'Just talked to Carlos. Thanks to God he is OK. More tests going on but much happier now.'
