Red Bull's future to be decided by October
Red Bull Racing owner Dietrich Mateschitz has revealed that a decision will be made by the end of October regarding the future involvement of the team in Formula One. The team have been attempting to secure a competitive power unit deal for the 2016 season onwards, having very publicly signalled their intentions of splitting with Renault at the end of the year. The Red Bull Racing and Renault combination achieved eight championship titles (four driver's and four constructor's titles) during the V8 era, but a switch to the turbocharged V6 engines in 2014 has only yielded three races wins across two seasons, with only three podiums in 2015.
