Rossi: American fans won't care where I finish at COTA

Manor driver Alexander Rossi is confident local fans will understand that he is not in a position to be 'anywhere near the front' when he makes his United States Grand Prix debut at the Circuit of the Americas. The GP2 Series front runner was given a surprise promotion to F1 with the Manor team ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix in a deal that would see him dovetail his GP2 commitments with outings in five of the final seven races. With his next outing in the car coming on home soil later this month, Rossi will in turn become the first American compete in a US Grand Prix since Scott Speed in 2007.
