Mercedes to supply 2016-spec engines to Manor
Mercedes AMG HPP has confirmed Manor's new multi-year agreement to supply engines from 2016 will see it get the latest specification power units. Having persevered with year-old Ferrari engines as a result of its late return to the F1 grid in 2015, it was anticipated that Manor's new deal with Mercedes would result in its using more competitive, albeit still dated engines for 2016. However, Mercedes AMG HPP's Andy Cowell says the new contract will see Manor land 2016-specification engines in line with fellow customers Williams and Force India.
