Manor confirms Mercedes engine deal for 2016
The Manor Marussia F1 team will use Mercedes power for the 2016 Formula 1 season in a landmark multi-year agreement for the minnow team. The British team embarked on a remarkable comeback in the days before the start of the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship season having slipped into administration under its former Marussia guise towards the conclusion of last season. Using an updated version of its 2014 chassis, Ferrari permitted Manor to use its 2014-specification engine this year, but the team is primed to get a huge boost in 2016 having reached an agreement with Mercedes to use arguably the strongest power unit on the grid.
