FIA bids to increase noise for 2016

Sahara Force India The FIA will attempt to increase the sound emitted by next year's Formula 1 cars after a tweak in the regulations, ratified by the World Motor Sport Council. Since the V6 power units were introduced at the start of 2014, there have been complaints that the cars are not as loud as their predecessors, an issue which the FIA is attempting to amend. "For 2016, all cars must have a separate exhaust wastegate tailpipe through which all and only wastegate exhaust gases must pass" read a WMSC statement.
