Rosberg, Hamilton on better laps before red flag

Japanese Grand Prix – Mercedes' Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton claimed to have been on better laps at the end of qualifying when the session was stopped by a red flag caused by Daniil Kvyat. The Mercedes drivers were set for final lap shootout in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix, with Nico Rosberg narrowly ahead after the first laps of Q3 were set. However, both drivers were forced to back off and abandon their final laps owing to the red flag caused by Daniil Kvyat's Red Bull crashing just before turn eleven.
