Button poised to announce F1 exit in Japan

Jenson Button is poised to call an end to his esteemed Formula 1 career after 16 seasons, with an official announcement expected ahead of this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix. The 2009 F1 champion's future has been a central part to the driver market and it is rumoured that he will decide to leave the sport on his own terms after just one season driving for the new McLaren Honda partnership. It is believed Button would prefer to make the announcement at his 'second home race' in Japan and allowed to make the decision to retire rather than be forced out. Button has endured a difficult season with an underwhelming and unreliable Honda power unit which has struggled to live up to expectations....
