Marina Bay track invader arrested by Singapore police

A 27-year-old man has been arrested after invading the Marina Bay Street Circuit during Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. On lap 37 of the race, the FIA race stewards deployed the safety car when Sebastian Vettel reported that a fan had made his way onto the circuit. CCTV footage shows that the fan slipped through a gap in the fencing before ambling onto the track. Only when he saw Vettel coming out of Turn 7 at speed did he run across the track and off the racing line. In a statement issued by the FIA after the race, it was confirmed that the fan had been taken into custody by local police officials.
