Tost backs Verstappen's decision to stay ahead of Sainz

Scuderia Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost has backed Max Verstappen's decision to stay ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr. in the closing stages of today's Singapore Grand Prix. After stalling off the start, Verstappen had to be pushed back to the pit lane so his car could be restarted and eventually sent out into the race, albeit a lap down. The 17-year-old managed to unlap himself when the safety car was deployed following a clash between Nico Hulkenberg and Felipe Massa, and come the end of the race, was fighting with Sergio Perez for seventh position. However, Sainz was closing on the pair with fresher tyres, prompting the Toro Rosso pit wall to ask Verstappen to move aside so the Spaniard...
