Man arrested after Singapore GP track invasion

A 27 year-old man has been arrested after getting onto the track during the Singapore Grand Prix as an inquiry begins to assess how he was able to gain access. The man was seen walking down the track near turn 13 alongside the barriers on lap 35 of the Singapore Grand Prix, though race winner Sebastian Vettel says he saw him cross the live circuit and take a photograph too. The unidentified man proceeded to jump back behind the barriers by himself, where he was subsequently detained by Singapore Police. “The Singapore Police Force have confirmed that a 27 year-old man has been arrested and is assisting police with investigations,” read an FIA statement.
