Kvyat laments costly Safety Car periods
– Daniil Kvyat was left to rue the timing of two Safety Car periods at the Singapore Grand Prix, which dropped him out of contention for a podium.Kvyat was the first of the leaders to pit from fourth, before the Safety Car came out for a clash involving Felipe Massa and Nico Hülkenberg.Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg both profited to move ahead, although Hamilton later retired due to a loss of power.Kvyat was demoted to sixth place once more, however, as Williams driver Valtteri Bottas leapfrogged him at the second round of pit-stops."I was unlucky with the timing of the Safety Car as I pitted a lap before it came out.
