Verstappen: No reason to let Sainz Jr. past

– Max Verstappen says there was "no reason" to move aside for team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. in the final stages of the Singapore Grand Prix.Sainz Jr., running behind Verstappen, had asked to be given a shot at overtaking Force India's Sergio Pérez, who the pair were catching.When instructed to do so, Verstappen refused to allow Sainz Jr. through, and they ultimately crossed the line in eighth and ninth respectively."The whole race I had great pace, I was pulling away from everyone in the midfield, I was catching up to the guys in front, so there was no reason to let him past," said Verstappen."I think if it was the other way round it'd be the same...
