Nico Hulkenberg slapped with penalty points and a grid drop

Singapore Grand Prix – Force India's Nico Hulkenberg has been given two penalty points and a grid drop for the Japanese Grand Prix. The German driver was involved in a collision with Felipe Massa at the first round of pit-stops. Felipe Massa had attempted to jump past the Force India using the undercut but a slow stop meant the Williams driver emerged from the pitlane almost directly alongside Hulkenberg. Turning into the apex of Turn 3, the pair made contact and Hulkenberg was thrown off into the barriers. He retired immediately due to the damage.
