Verstappen poised for points on Singapore debut
Max Verstappen put himself in a strong position to consolidate his top ten in the overall standings after qualifying eighth for the Singapore Grand Prix. With stablemates Red Bull showing the full potential of its chassis up front, fellow Renault-powered team Toro Rosso have also enjoyed a competitive weekend around the Marina Bay Circuit. However, while Carlos Sainz ruined his chances with a brush against the wall in Q2, Verstappen made it all the way to Q3 to claim his sixth top ten start of the season.
