Vettel soars, Mercedes struggles in final Singapore practice

Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari signalled that an upset could be on the cards in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix later today by topping the timesheets in the final free practice session on Saturday evening. Vettel posted a fastest lap time of 1:45.682 to finish four-tenths of a second clear of teammate Kimi Raikkonen as Ferrari romped to a one-two finish. The first signs of trouble for Mercedes came in FP2 on Friday when drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg struggled to contend with the pace displayed by both Ferrari and Red Bull.
