Rossi red flags as Rosberg goes fastest – FP1 Report

Manor Marussia driver Alexander Rossi brought out the red flags to end FP1 after an incident at T18 as just 0.3s covered the top three. Rossi started off quite well in the Manor, at first going four seconds a lap faster than team mate Will Stevens who was acclimatising to the artificially lit street circuit. Towards the end of the session both cars were approaching completing 20 laps of running and both within two hundredths of a second per lap of each other. The Red flags were brought out with three minutes remaining when Rossi oversteered on the entry into turn 18, slamming into the tunnel wall on the corners exit.
