Pirelli: 'Tyre data even more important than usual'

Singapore Grand Prix – Pirelli's Paul Hembery says that the unique challenges of the Marina Bay Street Circuit means that Friday practice is even more crucial to a driver's weekend than usual. Pirelli have opted to bring their two softest compounds to Singapore, the Supersoft & Soft tyre compounds. This is due to them offering the maximum mechanical grip and a rapid warmup, which Pirelli's Motorsport Director Paul Hembery says are crucial ingredients for success on the undulating street track. With an expected time different between the two compounds somewhere around the two second mark, Hembery says the bumpy and unpredictable track surface will cause some headaches as the teams...
