Mexico names final corner after Mansell

Former world champion Nigel Mansell has been honoured by having the final corner of the new Mexican Formula 1 track named after him. The Briton earned a place in F1 folklore when he famously overtook Gerhard Berger around the outside of the daunting Peraltada corner in the 1990 race, two years before he took victory in the final event to be held there. Although the banked Peraltada turn has had to be replaced for safety reasons, race organisers have still decided to name the last part of the corner after Mansell as part of its revamp ahead of this October's race.
