Gastaldi: Renault takeover of Lotus would be fantastic for F1
Federico Gastaldi believes that a potential takeover of Lotus by Renault would be highly positive for Formula 1. Lotus is currently in talks with Renault about a possible buy-out for 2016 whilst also battling financial problems that appear to threaten the long-term future of the Enstone operation. CEO Matthew Carter vowed over the Italian Grand Prix weekend that Lotus would see out the season, saying: 'We have a budget in place and we will operate to that budget and will be at all the races.
