Alonso: McLaren should keep Button

Fernando Alonso has called on McLaren to retain his team-mate, Jenson Button, for the 2016 season.  Button recently said that he hopes to resolve his future with McLaren 'over the next few weeks', but it is understood that McLaren are considering giving his seat to Stoffel Vandoorne or Kevin Magnussen, who are both members of McLaren's young driver academy. However, Alonso believes that it would be a mistake to let Button go with the Briton an experienced driver who knows how to win. 'Jenson has been quite good all season,' Alonso told reporters.
