Magnussen hopes experience pays off

Kevin Magnussen believes his experience with McLaren will stand him in good stead when seeking a drive for next season. The Dane has been out of competition for a year after losing his McLaren race-seat to double World Champion Fernando Alonso. McLaren, though, did keep Magnussen on the pay roll as he took on the role of official reserve and test driver. 'I have lots of experience that can benefit any team,' he told Motorsport.com.
