Haas doubtful over American driver

– Haas F1's Team Principal Guenther Steiner doubts that the outfit will sign an American driver for its maiden campaign in the sport next year.Haas is set to announce one of its drivers before the end of September, with Ferrari reserve driver Esteban Gutiérrez believed to be the leading contender.Haas' American roots has led to suggestions that the outfit could sign a driver from the country - such as GP2 race winner Alexander Rossi - but Steiner has dismissed such speculation."There is nobody out there at the moment," he told the Official F1 website when asked about potential American candidates."Yes, there are drivers in GP2 and Formula 3, but having a rookie in a...
