Wolff: We'd never take a chance on safety

Toto Wolff insists Mercedes would never take a chance on safety after the team was investigated by the FIA for running tyre pressures below the limit. Lewis Hamilton stormed to his seventh win of the season at the Italian Grand Prix, but it was revealed in the closing stages of the race that tyres on both Mercedes cars were under Pirelli's specified minimum starting pressure. Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and team representatives were summoned to the stewards after the race, but no further action was taken and the provisional race result stood.
