Pirelli loosen tyre restrictions
Pirelli have loosened restrictions on the tyre pressures teams can run at the Italian GP after opposition to more stringent measures from drivers and teams. Following the two high-speed tyre blowouts at Spa two weeks ago, it was revealed on Thursday at Monza that Pirelli, F1's sole tyre supplier, had recommended an increase of five PSI in the minimum pressure that tyres can be run at. Changes to camber limits were also communicated to teams. However, world champion Lewis Hamilton warned the proposed five PSI increase could lead to "disaster" due to increased tyre wear, while Fernando Alonso labelled it "strange" that such a significant rise could be introduced without...
