Pirelli issue Spa statement: Analysis confirms absence of structural problem

Italian Grand Prix – Pirelli have released a statement detailing their findings of their investigation into the tyre failures that happened at Spa-Francorchamps two weeks ago. Both Nico Rosberg & Sebastian Vettel suffered high-profile tyre failures over the course of the Belgian weekend, with Ferrari's Vettel losing a podium place on the final lap due to his right rear tyre failure. So enraged was the 4 time World Champion, that he cancelled media appointments after the race after completing terse TV interviews in which he proclaimed Pirelli's explanations for failures as 'bullsh*t'.
