Alonso prepares to manage expectations at Monza
Fernando Alonso is bracing for one of McLaren-Honda's tougher weekends of the 2015 season at the high-speed Monza circuit. With the Belgian Grand Prix revealing relatively little about the potential of upgraded Honda power unit, Alonso and Button have already said they expect even less of an opportunity to shine at the Italian Grand Prix. Indeed, while Alonso – a two time race winner in Italy – is looking forward to heading back to Monza, he says the focus will be on better preparing the MP4-30 for low downforce configurations primarily. “I have won at Monza twice in my career – once with McLaren in 2007 – and both times were incredibly special.
