Alonso disappointed by 'painful' weekend

– Fernando Alonso says that McLaren's performance at the Belgian Grand Prix was "painful" as he could manage only 13th position in the Honda-powered MP4-30.Honda had anticipated a step forward at Spa-Francorchamps but both Alonso and team-mate Jenson Button were hit with extensive grid drops for engine penalties, though this only relegated the pair one row on the grid.Alonso gained six places early on but soon slipped back and, despite a brief battle with Sauber driver Felipe Nasr, he could manage only 13th place."That was a tough race and a painful weekend: we simply weren't competitive today," he rued."My only fun came at the start – to start 20th and be...
