Ericsson apologetic after FP2 Spa crash

Marcus Ericsson apologised to his team after crashing during second practice in Belgium, but felt the majority of the work carried out on Friday was very positive. His Sauber F1 Team have brought upgrades to Belgium this weekend, while they are also running the 2015 specification Ferrari engine for the first time, with Ericsson finishing an encouraging eighth quickest in FP2, although he did end the session in the barriers after losing control exiting Pouhon. “In FP1 we tried different set-ups on the car,” revealed Ericsson. “In the afternoon we then continued to build on FP1, doing short and long-runs on the soft and medium tyres.
