Verstappen set to pick up engine change penalty

Max Verstappen will pick up a grid penalty for the Belgian Grand Prix due to an engine change, Toro Rosso has confirmed. The 17-year-old started the weekend on his fifth Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). However, the team's chief race engineer Phil Charles says it will be changed ahead of final practice and qualifying tomorrow. The switch means Verstappen will move onto his sixth engine, resulting in a 10-place grid drop. 'After going through the data tonight, we will hopefully be able to find a little bit of short-run performance,' Charles said.
