Rosberg: 'Pure luck' prevented practice crash
Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg says that 'pure luck' prevented him from suffering a sizeable crash during the second free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix. Rosberg clocked the quickest time during both sessions on Friday at Spa Francorchamps but suffered a frightening moment when his right rear tyre failed on the section of track between Stavelot and Blanchimont. Rosberg was pitched into a high speed spin but fortunately came to a halt just short of the tyre barriers at Blanchimont. "The circuit is fantastic and our car seems to be quick again," he said.
